Weekend menu 4 & 5 May 2018

Here comes the weekend……menu written, orders placed, weather looks promising….will you be joining us? Dinner served from 7p.m. Friday and Saturday with tables available at the moment. Be sure to book by calling us on 01453 832808. Saturday brunch served in the dining room and “al fresco” in our courtyard from 11a.m. No need to book, it’s very casual so just drop in, grab a newspaper and relax.

English asparagus, prawn and new potato salad with Marie Rose dressing

 

Baked haddock fillet on smoked fish and sweet corn chowder

Poached sea trout supreme in Prosecco and dill cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over apple sauce and cider reduction

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops with chorizo, sage and onion gravy

Weekend dinner menu – Friday 16 and Saturday 17 March 2018

We thought we might get the courtyard ready for the milder weather but now the temperature is set to plummet at the weekend with a chance of more snow on Sunday…. best we leave it for now. Whenever folk ring to book a table we enquire about dietary requirements so that we can verbally offer alternative dishes on the night. With so many vegetarians coming in we are talking about producing a veggie menu. More details to follow.

Mid week menu – 8 to 10 November ’16

The new stone blocks have finally arrived for the repairs to the corner of the building following the “car meets restaurant” incident earlier in the year. The reason for the long delay was that the stone cutter put the measurements in the pocket of his shorts then forgot about them before doing his laundry……or so we are told!!? Now of course with temperatures forecast to dip below freezing it will probably be too cold for lime mortar work this week.At this rate the insurance company will have closed the file by the time we get the invoice in!
