Weekend dinner 23/24 September 2016

We are definitely in the wrong line of work …..we had a wasps nest behind the telephone box at first floor height on the front wall of the building. The environmental health were contacted  at the begining of the month and the “wasp whisperer” finally came on Tuesday. He spent about 10 minutes on site, 5 of which were filling out paperwork and doing his risk asessment before taking a lance out of his van and squirting the site from ground level. Cost……..£57 to paid in advance of the visit! That’s only 2 quid short of a three course meal for two at our humble establishment.

Weekend menu – 16 & 17 September 2016

We need to think about picking some pears off our tree. There is so much fruit this year that the branches are sagging on top of the car despite stringing up netting. Look out for tarts, crumbles, chutneys etc. on the menu in the coming weeks! Tables free for both Friday and Saturday at the moment. Please call 01453 832808 to book.

Just ordered the fish for delivery in the morning. Lets hope it arrives as planned, the other Friday we got most of our order at 08.30 but for some reason a box of monk fish was put on the wrong van and didn’t arrive till 16.00 after a trip to Wales and back!
