Mid week menu – 31/10 to 2/11 2017

That’s life. We hadn’t had anyone use the courtyard for a while so late last week with cold weather forecast and November almost upon us we jet washed the stonework, tidied the borders and packed away the furniture. Saturday brunch time in walked a lady asking to sit outside! The same day business had tailed off after 2 and as there was no one in we dropped the lock at ten to three to clear up and set up for the evening. At five to three someone rang the door bell asking if we were still serving!

Weekend menu – 20 & 21 October ’17

They don’t make stuff like they used to! Regular readers may recall we had to replace one of our big fridges recently. The new unit was delivered on 1st September and has already gone on the blink. It is under warranty and an engineer is due this morning but it’s blooming inconvenient and not what you expect from a brand new bit of supposedly commercial kit. It also puts us behind with prep for the hopefully busy weekend ahead until we have the fridge space to store stuff correctly. Hey ho, plod on…… Oh and if you want a table for dinner this weekend please call us on 01453 832808. Thank you.

Mid week dinner menu – 17 to 19 October 2017

Last week was national egg week apparently. Maybe that was why we had 33 customers in for brunch enjoying eggy bread, scrambled with and without smoked salmon, poached on toast as well as Florentine, and plenty of good old fried with an Oldstone breakfast. Maybe see you next Saturday?

Weekend menu – 26 & 27 May 2017

A bit late with the menu today. I can only blame it on the mini heat wave which meant I dashed from the office (which is over the restaurant kitchen and therefore rather warm) once the orders were placed and the menu was written without doing the blog bit! To book your table for dinner please call 01453 832808. We gave the courtyard a tidy yesterday in anticipation of some al fresco opportunities this weekend too.
