Weekend menu – 20/21 April 2018

We tried some nice wines yesterday with Antony from The Oxford Wine Company in preparation for our new list which will be coming soon. First English asparagus of the season is in the kitchen and looks great, on the menu this weekend cooked simply and served with cracked pepper and lemon butter sauce. Hopefully the fine weather will stay long enough for us to use the courtyard this weekend. For bookings please call 01453 832808.

Weekend menu – Friday 18 & Saturday 19 August 2017

A sign of the times perhaps but I see the Vegan cafe around the corner is closing down this week and the little coffee shop up on the top is closed and has a bailiffs notice attached to the front door. We had a call this week from someone who said they had not been in for some time and asking if we still did tapas. The previous owners of our business did a form of tapas with San Miguel on draught but they left in summer 2003! You’ll find a lot can change if you leave it 14 years between visits. Just ordered our fresh fish delivery for the morning and we have tables available for both Friday and Saturday dinner at time of writing. As always please call us on 01453 832808 to book yours. Saturday brunch served from 11a.m.

Weekend menu – 14 & 15 July 2017

Our neighbour is having a new driveway laid and due to the cutting of paving slabs and a gentle breeze everything is covered in a fine dust. We could do with an overnight shower just to dampen things down a little! Should be finished by the weekend though so don’t be put off using our courtyard for brunch or dinner. Dinner bookings taken on 01453 832808

Dinner menu – 11 to 13 July ’17

A new record of sorts……we had customers eating and drinking in the garden every evening last week. On Wednesday all our tables ate outside so it looked as though we had an empty restaurant if you passed by. Thankfully that was not the case. Rain forecast for this week though but you never know.

Weekend menu – 26 & 27 May 2017

A bit late with the menu today. I can only blame it on the mini heat wave which meant I dashed from the office (which is over the restaurant kitchen and therefore rather warm) once the orders were placed and the menu was written without doing the blog bit! To book your table for dinner please call 01453 832808. We gave the courtyard a tidy yesterday in anticipation of some al fresco opportunities this weekend too.
