She’s back! Delia the duck was spotted wandering along our wall looking somewhat displeased as her regular nesting site on top of the shed had been stripped bare of all foliage due to our neighbours refurbishing their shop. She has however built a nest in one of the raised beds and we have screened it off with a few pot plants so she should be fine and we await the arrival of the ducklings in due course.

After the fine weather last week we are keen to tidy up the courtyard, jet wash the slabs, whitewash the walls etc. Of course it has rained every day since we bought a tub of paint! Maybe next week.

Weekend diner menu 22/23 February ’19

I just looked back at this week last year in the diary to try and predict what a dry, mild weekend and half term holiday combo might mean for business and there on the page for March 1st was written “The beast from the East” followed by an almost blank 3 days of bookings and a note that the fish delivery could not get through on 2 consecutive days.
