The new stone blocks have finally arrived for the repairs to the corner of the building following the “car meets restaurant” incident earlier in the year. The reason for the long delay was that the stone cutter put the measurements in the pocket of his shorts then forgot about them before doing his laundry……or so we are told!!? Now of course with temperatures forecast to dip below freezing it will probably be too cold for lime mortar work this week.At this rate the insurance company will have closed the file by the time we get the invoice in!
