I did wonder if it was a bit early to be posting a Mother’s Day menu then I noticed the bakers over the road proudly displaying their blackboard with Hot Cross Buns on offer.

Did you hear that boffin on the radio yesterday proposing a 2 tier tax on both red meats and processed meats……whatever next? Whilst we still can we have just collected some lovely venison fillets and plump pheasants from our local butcher which will be on the menu this weekend. We received a demand for £550 to renew our music licence! We can only accommodate 24 people and all we do is play cd’s that we have already bought as background music for a few hours each evening. Do you think anyone would notice or care if we just unplugged the thing and saved the money?
