Weekend dinner menu – 13 & 14 April 2018

Doris the duck update…..after enduring a long spell on her nest through some pretty grim weather just six ducklings hatched on Tuesday morning. Our smallest flock to date. They spent the day scrabbling round the courtyard then yesterday morning took the plunge and followed mum by jumping in to the Nailsworth stream.

Orders placed for Friday’s fresh fish and meat deliveries, tables available for dinner on both Friday and Saturday at the moment….it’s that end of Easter break time when folk are on the move so it could all change. Please call 01453 832808 to book.

Weekend menu – 6 & 7 April 2018

Last week we took the brunch menu out of the menu box by the front door and stuck it on our “A board” so that we could showcase our veggie menu alongside the weekend dinner menu. (with me so far?) We then had the quietest Saturday brunch any of us can remember since we opened so for this weekend it’s all back as it was! There’s a copy here below the weekend dinner menu as a reminder of what we do. Tables available for dinner this weekend, please call us on 01453 832808 to book.

Weekend menu – Friday 8 and Saturday 9 September 2017

If, as happened last night,  a customer rings up a quarter of an hour after their booked time to say they have to “cancel” their table of 4 do we log that as a no show or a cancellation? Either way we have to bear the cost of the bread we baked off and canapes we prepared. Thankfully we hadn’t turned other customers away in the belief that we did not have a free table. Moving on……schools are back, summer holidays done and dusted for most and we have tables available for both Friday and Saturday at time of writing. Please call 01453 832808 to book.

Mid week menu 22 to 24 August 2017

The skippers catch Poole harbour grey mullet we had in on Friday was wonderful. From sea to kitchen door within 24 hours and it sold well too. As it is in season and at it’s best we’ll have some more this week. We’ve noticed the blackberries are looking good around the local valleys so a spot of foraging is on the cards after we have finished our usual Sunday chores.
