Dinner menu

    We weren’t fully booked on Saturday night as I’m sure was the case at many restaurants given the weather, World cup, Wimbledon combo but then we had two tables ring to cancel on the night (one helpfully called at 8.40 to cancel their 8.30 booking…thanks)  Please note we will not be open this Tuesday so this menu will run for 4 nights, Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th July. Oh no … they are putting the Christmas lights up in the town centre ready for the Nailsworth Noel evening next week. That means we will have to put the decorations up in the restaurant but it just seems too early. Do you think folk would notice if we wait until December? Nice to see such a good turn out for the remembrance day service today, silver band, local groups and services marching by the restaurant and our clock tower decorated with 7000 knitted poppies made the national press. For a small town we do these things rather well. Bravo!

We got the courtyard set up and stood by for a busy Saturday brunch and…….nothing happened! We had a few in but none of our “regulars” showed up and Nailsworth was like a ghost town. I guess the garden or the seaside were a bigger draw on the hottest day of the year so far. Hopefully better luck next week.
