Menu – weekend 5 & 6 May 2017

Weekend menu 17 and 18 June 2016

I may have mentioned we needed a drop of rain so as to test the repairs Pete had made to the rear roof. Now we need another dry spell so that he can get back up there and investigate why we need a bucket on the landing to catch an annoying drip! We are fully booked for Saturday night again. Space on Friday at the moment, please ring us on 01453 832808 to book a table.

Weekend menu – 10 & 11 June 2016

Strange as it sounds we want a bit of rain. Let me explain. Pete put a scaffold tower up in the courtyard to give him access to the roof valley that has been causing problems. Until it rains to test his repairs he obviously does not want to take it down but in the meantime it is an eye sore and also means we loose a table on the patio if it is               “al fresco dining” weather. You can’t win can you?

Weekend dinner menu 20 & 21 May 2016

We have been selling a lot of fish lately which is great as it means our stocks are always fresh. Just ordered for delivery on Friday morning, Wild black bream caught by Andy Hill the skipper of Lauren Anne sailing out of Brighton. Large monk fish tails landed in Brixham this morning and on their  way right now to our fishmonger in Cirencester. Cornish mackerel and Devon crabs plus a side of smoked salmon from the Severn and Wye smokery which is just up the road near the forest of Dean.
