Roast tomato soup, pesto croutons

      Smoked mackerel pâté, horseradish crème fraiche, toasted sour dough     

Warm salad of seared local venison loin, watercress and conference pear

Prawn and crayfish tail tian, spiced avocado and sweet chilli dressing

Twice baked Stilton soufflé on spinach cream sauce (15 minutes please)

 

Pan fried fillet of gilt head bream on harissa spiced Mediterranean vegetables

 Poached halibut supreme, buttered leeks and white wine cream

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, red pepper sauce, chorizo and chives

Free range chicken breast in woodland mushroom cream sauce

Butternut and black bean bake with aubergine and Cornish kale

 

English apple and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

It’s Nailsworth Noel on Friday 25th. It seems a bit early to put the festive decorations up but we’d better show willing! We had a busy weekend, thank you, with a steady flow of brunch customers on Saturday followed by a full house for dinner.Same again this week please.

It’s a bank holiday weekend everybody! We are fully booked for Saturday evening but have some tables free for Friday at the moment, please call 01453 832808 to book. Don’t forget Saturday brunch from 11a.m. there’s no need to book and we’ll be al fresco in our courtyard if the weather is kind.

Mild to cold then wet then very wet….heating on heating off, coat or brolly or both!!                              I see in the news that the selection boxes have hit the shelves in some supermarkets so maybe it’s not too early to start planning your Christmas parties…….menus are now on the blog.
