Weekend menu – 2nd & 3rd June 2017

She got it right this time! Our daft duck was in the courtyard the other morning encouraging her 11 ducklings to jump down from the lean to. You can just make out 4 of them on top of the wall in the picture below preparing to leap. They all made it down safely and spent the next 24 hours building up strength before the next stage of their journey as they jumped in to the stream and paddled off.

Roast tomato soup

Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, Wye valley asparagus, cracked pepper and lemon

Twice baked double Gloucester soufflé on spinach cream (15 mins please)

Cornish monk fish tail with samphire and mild curry cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over candied orange and Cognac jus

Tenderstem broccoli and pine nut bande with roasted red pepper sauce
