Weekend menu – Friday 23 and Saturday 24 March 2018

Why is it that people ring to book a table, ring again to change that booking then don’t bother to turn up or cancel on the day? Even though we cook to order there is an element of wastage as we have baked bread and prepared canapes tailored to their dietary needs and hopefully not turned other customers away in the belief that the table was sold. Looking ahead…. British summer time starts on Sunday. Tables available for dinner on Friday and Saturday at time of writing. Please call 01453 832808 to book.

Menu – weekend 5 & 6 May 2017

The menu sounds very Spring / Summer like with asparagus, Jersey Royals, crab, citrus, strawberries etc. but I would advise a jumper as the sun is hiding behind low cloud and that breeze is quite chilly. Please call us on 01453 832808 to book your table for this weekend. Thank you.

Weekend menu – 21 & 22 April 2017

Just placed the fish order for tomorrows delivery. Fingers crossed there are no hiccups this week. Last Thursday night the van coming up from the South West did not make it to the rendezvous point in time so the supplier in Cirencester did not receive the stocks they needed to fill the orders they had. I did feel sorry for the chap who was ringing round to irate chefs on Bank Holiday Friday to apologise and inform that numerous items were unavailable, short or substituted. It wasn’t a major issue for us as we just changed the weekend menu and wasted a few sheets of A4 but it will have been a huge spanner in the works for some of the large hotel and banqueting operations. Glad those days are behind us!

Mid week menu – 21 to 23 February ’17

Ahhh … it’s Sunday…the only day of the week we don’t have to field numerous telephone calls from energy suppliers, utility agents, business rates advisers and the like as well as folk selling advertising space and of course those who seem to think we have a never ending supply of raffle prizes and free meals to give away to their many worthy causes. So it’s a chance to get a bit of work done undisturbed. If however you want to book a table we will gladly take your call on 01453 832808!
