Roast tomato soup, sour dough croutons

Smoked haddock and Evesham leek rarebit, dressed wild rocket

Seared local venison fillet, beetroot and pea shoot salad

Devon crab and prawn tian, spiced avocado, sweet chilli jam

Free range egg, pepperonata and spinach baked under Parmesan cream

 

Cornish gurnard fillet with piquant baby plum tomato sauce

Pan fried fillet of sea bass, dark soy, spring onion and ginger dressing

Roast local pheasant breast, braised red cabbage, Port reduction

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, black pudding, English apple and cider gravy

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Mixed mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice

 

Baked cheesecake with ripe mango

Spiced pear cake, cinnamon whipped cream

Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart with white chocolate ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread

Dinner menu – 6 to 8 November 2018

You may recall the coffee machine let us down last weekend. The chap came out and diagnosed the problem, it required the replacement of a £5 switch which he obviously didn’t have on his van. The job was completed on Friday and his bill with VAT was £88! If I had my time over again I would definitely choose a different trade.
