Christmas week

We have just had a table for 2 cancel their New Years Eve booking so first come first served on 01453 832808. The Edwardian carol singers have confirmed they will be calling in during dinner on Saturday 23rd to entertain us for a short while. Tables available, please call to book.

Salmon and crayfish tail timbale, tomato and chive dressing

Twice baked mature Cheddar soufflé, spinach and cream (15 minutes please)

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet with home grown pear chutney

A little venison cottage pie


Poached boneless plaice with Prosecco and parsley cream sauce

Pan fried sea bass fillet on dark soy, sesame and ginger jus

Roast local pheasant breast, red cabbage, Port and chestnut gravy

Slow braised Cotswold pork belly with spiced apple and cider

Aged local beef fillet, oxtail and rich red wine sauce (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Spiced winter squash and chick pea stew on red, white and wild rice

Woodland mushroom millefeuille, herb cream sauce and truffle oil

Oldstone dinner menu – weekend 13 & 14 December 2013

Saturday night is fully booked but we do have tables for Friday at the moment. Don’t forget Saturday brunch from 11 a.m. ……pop in for a warm and a bite to eat as you tick off the Christmas shopping. Looking ahead…..next Friday 20th the Victorian costume singers will be calling by during dinner to sing a few carols which always adds a nice atmosphere……Christmas eve is now fully booked and we have just one table of two left for New years eve.
