Have you noticed that if something is going to go on the blink it waits until Friday afternoon so you can’t get an engineer in until the following week? Grrrrrr!

Red onion soup with double Gloucester croutons

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet on baby plum tomato salad

Warm roasted Mediterranean vegetable tart, wild rocket and pine nuts

Devon crab, prawn and spiced avocado tian, sweet chilli sauce

 Black pudding, field mushroom and spinach stack topped with a poached egg

Pan fried swordfish steak with basil and lemon butter

Poached salmon loin, sugar snaps and mild curry cream sauce

Roast free range chicken breast, pepperonata and wine jus

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, buttered leeks, grain mustard gravy

  Aged local beef fillet, horseradish and panko crumb, rich red wine reduction

 (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Cornish kale and ricotta cannelloni baked in tomato sauce

 

English apple and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

 Dark chocolate truffle cake with blueberry compote

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread
