Weekend menu – 8 & 9 March 2019

After the fine weather last week we are keen to tidy up the courtyard, jet wash the slabs, whitewash the walls etc. Of course it has rained every day since we bought a tub of paint! Maybe next week.

Three courses £30      Two courses £25.50


Red onion soup with Cornish blue scones

Pan fried Devon crab cake, guacamole and sweet chilli dipping sauce

Mixed mushroom crêpe, chive cream sauce and truffle oil

Baby plum tomato and sour dough crostini, pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet

Pressed ham hock and black pudding terrine with mixed pickles


Poached Scottish loch trout supreme in Prosecco cream sauce

 Pan fried sea bass fillet with a simple salsa verde

Roast free range chicken breast, chorizo and paprika cream

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, English apple and cider jus

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Sweet potato croquettes, plum tomato sauce, Parmesan and pine nuts


Yorkshire rhubarb and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Baked cheesecake with mango and passion fruit compote

Tiramisu pancakes
