Mid week menu – 26 to 28 February ’19

Spotted this in the Times letters page yesterday.

Sage observation……there could be a shortage of imported fresh herbs at the end of next month. We may run out of thyme and end up with a no dill Brexit.

Cornish kale soup

Devon crab, prawn and spiced avocado tian, sweet chilli dressing

Warm goats cheese and red onion tart

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, pickled carrot and pea shoot salad

Blood orange and wild rocket salad, air dried ham and shaved parmesan

Roast monk fish loin with chorizo and little plum tomatoes

Pan fried sea bass fillet on dark soy, sesame and ginger jus

Roast free range chicken breast with mushroom and chive cream sauce

  Aged local beef fillet, grain mustard, green herbs, red wine (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, buttered leeks and cider gravy

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew on red, white and wild rice

 Tunisian almond cake with tangy orange sorbet

Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, salty caramel ice cream

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
