Weekend menu Friday 30/11 and Saturday 1st December ’18

It’s rather wet and windy folks. We just had a delivery and the driver said the doors almost snapped off his van at his previous drop to the golf club on the common!  The Christmas decorations are up and the lights will be switched on this Friday.

Roasted red pepper soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with guacamole and sweet chilli jam

Baked field mushrooms stuffed with garlic spinach, pine nuts and Parmesan

Seared local venison fillet, red onion marmalade, wild rocket salad

Smoked salmon and prawn parcel, lemon and dill dressing

 

Poached plaice fillets with buttered samphire and Prosecco cream sauce

Cornish monk fish tail, baby plum tomato sauce, crisp pancetta

Roast local pheasant breast, English apple and cider gravy

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, winter mushroom and chive cream

Aged local beef fillet, sticky onions, rich red wine reduction (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew on red, white and wild rice

 

Limoncello tiramisu with tangy lemon sorbet

Pear and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Dark chocolate truffle cake, Cotteswold dairy double cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
