Good effort as usual by the town for Remembrance Sunday. The parade and town band have just marched past the restaurant in the sunshine and as you can see the clock tower looks magnificent.

Spiced pumpkin and lentil soup

Pan fried fillet of gilt head bream, guacamole and sweet chilli jam

Seared local venison fillet, beetroot and pea shoot salad

Devon crab, lemon dill mayonnaise and toasted sour dough

Free range egg, spinach and pepperonata baked under Parmesan cream


South coast Gurnard fillet in a piquant baby plum tomato sauce

Pan fried swordfish steak with chilli, lemon and caper dressing

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, mixed mushroom and chive cream sauce

Roast pheasant breast with English apple and cider gravy

  Aged local beef fillet, garlic buttered spinach, rich red wine jus (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew with red, white and wild rice

 Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart with white chocolate ice cream

Baked cheesecake with ripe mango

Moist Tunisian almond cake, tangy orange sorbet

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
