Mid week menu – 30/10 to 1/11 – 2018

Why is it when things like the coffee machine go on the blink they wait until 9.30 on a Friday night to do so leaving us unable to do an espresso or frothy coffee for the whole weekend! It was old school cafetieres all round as a result. We’ll call the engineer first thing on Monday. By the way …. did you remember to change your clocks to winter mole mode?

Roasted red pepper soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with spiced avocado and sweet chilli sauce

Warm blue cheese tart with mixed tomato and red onion salad

A simple plate of oak smoked salmon with lemon and capers

Garlic marinated chicken skewer on tabbouleh salad


Cornish gurnard fillet in spicy tomato and crayfish tail sauce

Pan fried sea bass fillet, lemon and herb dressing

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, chorizo and paprika cream sauce

Pheasant breast with braised red cabbage and Port gravy

  Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Spiced pumpkin, Evesham leek and lentil gratin


 Dark chocolate and orange torte, tangy orange sorbet

Baked cheesecake with blueberry compote

Locally picked blackberry and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
