Dinner menu -23 to 25 October 2018

It feels like time to pack away the courtyard for the winter as it’s a lovely day for outside jobs and perhaps a walk but too cold for sitting about.

Red onion soup with double Gloucester croutons

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, horseradish and beetroot

Baked free range egg with baby leaf spinach and chorizo cream

Crayfish tail and avocado tian, lemon dill dressing

Wild rocket, pear and parmesan salad, balsamic drizzle

Poached salmon supreme with mild curry cream sauce

Pan seared swordfish steak, pepperonata and basil oil

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, black pudding and grain mustard gravy

Seven spiced Barbary duck breast sliced over dark soy and ginger jus

  Aged local beef fillet, rich red wine and onion sauce (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Spiced autumn squash, Evesham leek and lentil stew

 Moist Tunisian almond cake, tangy orange sorbet

Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart with ice cream

A classic crème brulée, fine butter shortbread

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
