Weekend menu – 5 & 6 October 2018

 Senior moment alert…I was just having a post lunch look at my job list for today and tomorrow and realised I had written the menu, placed the orders but neglected to print and blog this morning. Here it is then and now that you can see what’s on offer get dialing (01453 832808) and book your table please!

Three courses £30      Two courses £25.50

Thai curry carrot and coconut soup

Twice baked smoked haddock soufflé, pea shoots and double Gloucester

cream sauce (15 minutes please)

Pressed ham hock terrine with mixed pickles

Devon crab and prawn tian, spiced avocado and sweet chilli jam

Wild rocket and roast Mediterranean vegetable salad, shaved Parmesan and pesto

 

Poached salmon supreme, buttered samphire and white wine cream sauce

Pan fried sea bass fillet with soy, sesame and ginger dipping sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over orange and Cognac sauce

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, mixed mushrooms and paprika cream

Aged local beef fillet, red onion marmalade, Port reduction (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Roast tomato risotto with baby leaf spinach and toasted pine nuts

 

Baked cheesecake with mixed berry compote

Dark chocolate truffle cake with tangy orange sorbet

Home grown pear and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
