Weekend menu – 24 & 25 August 2018

It’s a bank holiday weekend so naturally there is rain forecast together with a drop in temperature. We have tables available for dinner on both Friday and Saturday at time of writing so please call us on 01453 832808 to reserve yours. We will also be open for Saturday brunch from 11a.m. as usual.

Roasted red pepper soup

A simple starter of oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns

Spiced lamb kofta, tabouleh salad and flat bread

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet on heritage tomato and red onion salad

Mixed mushroom millefeuille, chive cream sauce and truffle oil

Poached Cornish monkfish tail, samphire and piquant tomato sauce

South coast plaice fillet with mussels and mild curry cream

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over apple sauce and cider reduction

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, buttered leeks, bacon and grain mustard gravy

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Butternut risotto with baby leaf spinach, toasted pine nuts and Parmesan

 

English cherry bakewell served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Dark chocolate mousse with shortbread and summer berries

Baked lime cheesecake, tangy lemon sorbet

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
