Weekend menu – 3 and 4 August 2018

Everybody seems to be going on holiday……hopefully some visitors will come to Nailsworth to replace our missing “regulars” this weekend. To book a table for dinner please call us on 01453 832808. Don’t forget…..Saturday brunch will be served in the courtyard and dining room from 11a.m.

Green summer vegetable minestrone

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet on heritage tomato salad

Warm bacon and red onion tart, house slaw and dill pickle

A simple starter of oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns

Twice baked mature Cheddar soufflé, baby leaf spinach and cream (15 mins)


Cornish monk fish tail in spicy tomato and chilli sauce

Poached salmon supreme with white wine and tarragon cream

Roast Barbary duck breast, locally grown rhubarb and red wine jus

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, mixed mushroom and chive cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Baked aubergine and ratatouille parcel, red pepper and pine nut sauce


Crème brulée with English summer berries and shortbread

Dark chocolate and ginger cheesecake, stem ginger crème fraiche

Pecan tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
