Dinner menu 31/7 to 2/8 – 2018

Everyone  was saying we needed a bit of rain to clear the air and help the gardens and boy have we got it but hey….it’s our day off and we’ve been invited to a BBQ! Wellies – check. Jacket – check. Brolly – check. Let’s go.

Three courses £30     Two courses £25.50     Starter and pudding £15


Green summer minestrone

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet on heirloom tomatoes

Baby gem Caesar salad with Cajun spiced free range chicken breast

Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns

Wild rocket, donut peach and buffalo mozzarella salad


Pan seared swordfish steak with toasted pine nut and basil butter

Cornish monk fish tail in spicy tomato sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over rhubarb and red wine jus

  Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, mixed mushroom and chive cream sauce

Twice baked mature Cheddar soufflé, baby leaf spinach and cream

 Dark chocolate and ginger cheesecake, stem ginger crème fraiche

Pecan tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Crème brulée, English summer berries and shortbread

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
