Dinner menu

    We weren’t fully booked on Saturday night as I’m sure was the case at many restaurants given the weather, World cup, Wimbledon combo but then we had two tables ring to cancel on the night (one helpfully called at 8.40 to cancel their 8.30 booking…thanks)  Please note we will not be open this Tuesday so this menu will run for 4 nights, Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th July. Cornish kale soup

Pan fried smoked haddock fish cake, wilted baby gem, tartare sauce

Chilled melon and basil salad with Serrano ham

Crayfish tail and ripe mango tian, sweet chilli dressing

Twice baked mature Cheddar soufflé, baby leaf spinach and cream (15 mins)

Poached sea trout supreme with samphire and mild curry cream sauce

7 spiced Barbary duck breast sliced over Asian plum sauce

  Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, mixed mushroom and chive cream

Roasted red pepper risotto, torn buffalo mozzarella, toasted pine nuts

 Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, clotted cream ice cream

A classic crème brulée with English summer berries

Baked lemon cheesecake with tangy lemon sorbet

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
