Mid week menu – 3 to 5 July 2018

Tidied up the planting out front today ready for Nailsworth in bloom before cleaning out the 2 sheds, filling the car with debris and taking a trip up to the tip. Seems we weren’t the only ones with that idea on a hot, sunny Sunday!

English tomato soup

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, baby gem, sumac and asparagus salad

Seared local venison fillet, wild rocket and red onion marmalade

Prawn, crayfish tail and spiced avocado tian, sweet chilli jam

Mixed mushroom millefeuille, chive cream sauce and summer truffle oil


Pan fried swordfish steak, little vine tomatoes and basil oil

Line caught Cornish Pollock supreme, buttered samphire and Prosecco cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over candied orange and Cognac jus

  Aged local beef fillet, garlic and green herb butter, red wine reduction                      (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, Evesham leeks and grain mustard gravy

Aubergine and Mediterranean vegetable parcel baked under Parmesan cream

 Spiced rhubarb cake with clotted cream ice cream

Baked cheesecake with a selection of English summer berries

Triple chocolate brownie served warm with ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
