Summer solstice today and the weather looks good for the next few days……it’s certain to be courtyard weather so come on down for dinner or Saturday brunch. Dinner reservations taken on 01453 832808

English tomato soup

Pan fried smoked haddock fish cake with tartare sauce

Seared local venison fillet, sweet potato puree and blueberry jus

Wye valley asparagus with a simple cracked pepper and lemon butter sauce

Potted Devon crab with caper crème fraiche and toasted sour dough


South coast plaice fillets with buttered samphire and mild curry cream

Pan fried sea bass fillet on tomato, basil and black olive sauce

7 spiced Barbary duck breast sliced over dark soy and ginger jus

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, chorizo and paprika cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet, red onion marmalade, Port reduction (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Roasted red pepper risotto with melting goats cheese and mixed seed crunch


Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, salty caramel ice cream

Baked lemon and lime cheesecake with tangy orange sorbet

English strawberry and cream shortbread

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
