It’s the first of May tomorrow and here we are shivering and wrapped up in our winter woolies……what’s going on? Looking ahead it is a bank holiday weekend and Badminton Horse trials are on so please book early if you are thinking of dinner on Friday and Saturday by calling us on 01453 832808.


Dinner                              Tuesday 1st to Thursday 3rd May 2018

Three courses £30      Two courses £25.50    Starter and pudding £15.00


Carrot and cumin soup

Smoked haddock omelette with parsley and mature Cheddar

Mixed mushrooms in chive cream sauce on toasted sour dough

Prawn, English asparagus and new potato salad

Calves liver and bacon with pea shoots and mustard dressing


Pan fried sea bream fillet with samphire and soy ginger jus

Poached sea trout supreme, Prosecco and dill cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over apple sauce and cider reduction

 Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops with chorizo, sage and onion gravy

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Roasted red pepper risotto with spinach and melting goats cheese


Triple chocolate brownie served warm with chocolate ice cream

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Warm Yorkshire rhubarb and almond tart with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
