Weekend dinner menu – Friday 16 and Saturday 17 March 2018

We thought we might get the courtyard ready for the milder weather but now the temperature is set to plummet at the weekend with a chance of more snow on Sunday…. best we leave it for now. Whenever folk ring to book a table we enquire about dietary requirements so that we can verbally offer alternative dishes on the night. With so many vegetarians coming in we are talking about producing a veggie menu. More details to follow.

Three courses £30      Two courses £25.50

 

Roasted tomato soup

Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and crayfish tails

Baby gem Caesar, spiced free range chicken breast, sweet potato croutons

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet with home grown pear chutney

Twice baked mature cheddar soufflé, baby leaf spinach and cream (15 min please)

 

Cornish monk fish tail with mild curry cream and samphire

Pan fried sea bass fillet on lime and fennel butter sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over candied orange and Cognac sauce

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, winter mushroom and chive cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet topped with Cornish blue cheese, rich red wine reduction          (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Aubergine parcels filled with peperonata baked under pesto and Parmesan crust

 

Tunisian almond cake with tangy orange sorbet

Baked cheesecake with tropical fruits

Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
