Weekend menu – 9 & 10 February 2018

We have a couple of tables left for Valentine’s day if you’re quick. This weekend there is space on Friday at the moment and Saturday is nearly full. Don’t forget our casual Saturday brunch from 11a.m. (booking not necessary) and lastly a date for your diary…Mother’s day lunch on Sunday 11th March. Menu ready next week. Butternut squash and lentil soup

Pan fried smoked haddock fish cake with chunky tartare sauce

Rich, slow cooked local venison ragu, spaghetti and Parmesan

Potted Devon crab, lemon mayonnaise, capers and toasted sour dough

Purple sprouting broccoli, double Gloucester cream, seed and nut crunch

 

Cornish cod cheeks with red onion, samphire and chorizo

Pan fried sea bass fillet on a bed of fine ratatouille

7 spiced Barbary duck breast sliced over dark soy, sesame and ginger jus

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, chestnut mushroom and paprika cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet topped with a rich oxtail gravy (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Wild mushroom, artichoke heart and herb frittata

 

Dark chocolate and orange torte with tangy orange sorbet

Blueberry and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Baked lemon cheesecake

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
