Mid week dinner – 23 to 25 January 2018

After a slow start we had the busiest brunch of the month on Saturday but a few cancellations due to ill health meant the fully booked sign had to stay in the cupboard for the evening. Looking good for next weekend though…..fingers crossed!

Roast tomato soup

Pan seared swordfish loin with mango and chilli salsa

Pressed ham hock terrine, homemade piccalilli

Potted Devon crab, lemon mayonnaise and toasted sour dough

Spiced aubergine and chick pea stew, Greek yoghurt and pitta bread

Baked hake supreme with chorizo and little plum tomatoes

Pan fried sea bass fillet on dark soy, sesame and ginger sauce

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, English apple and cider sauce

  Aged local beef fillet, winter mushrooms, red wine jus (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Roast spiced pheasant breast on coconut curry sauce

Red pepper risotto, melting goats cheese, pine nut and seed crunch

 

Dark chocolate truffle cake with red berry sorbet

Spiced apple cake with cinnamon whipped cream

Blueberry and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
