Mid week menu – 25 to 27 July 2017

It rained so hard on Friday night that it brought a piece of guttering down. We have reattached one end and directed the flow in to the stream for now but another repair has now been added to the never ending list of things to do! Just one of the joys of owning very old buildings.

English tomato soup

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet with home grown pear chutney

Warm broad bean and pea tart, cucumber and mint salad

Prawn and crayfish tail tian with avocado and sweet chilli jam

New potato and baby gem salad, chicken breast, smoked bacon, Caesar dressing


Cornish monk fish tail with spinach and mild curry cream

Pan fried sea trout fillet, baby plum tomato and basil dressing

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over green peppercorn sauce

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops with red apple and cider gravy

  Aged local beef fillet, horseradish butter and rich red wine reduction                        (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Portobello mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice


Pecan tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Baked cheesecake with summer berries

Dark chocolate mousse, cookie and ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
