Weekend menu – 19 & 20 May ’17

Duck update….she is sat on top of the lean to shaking off the rain drops but no sign of hatching yet. It’s Nailsworth Festival this Saturday. Lot’s going on around the town and we will be featuring Double Gloucester Rarebit alongside our usual brunch menu from 11a.m. ….no need to book. Tables available for dinner on Friday and Saturday at the moment, reservations recommended on  01453 832808.

Baby leaf spinach soup

English asparagus and Jersey Royal salad, cray fish tails and Marie Rose

Pressed ham hock terrine with homemade piccalilli

Smoked salmon and cucumber linguine, Vodka cream sauce

Buffalo mozzarella and ripe tomato, wild rocket, basil oil, pine nuts and seeds

 

Pan seared swordfish steak on dark soy, spring onion and ginger jus

 Cornish monk fish tail with petits pois, gem lettuce and white wine cream

Aged local beef fillet, red onion marmalade and a rich Port reduction                                  (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, white bean and chorizo sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over Bramley apple sauce and cider gravy

Woodland mushroom millefeuille, chive cream sauce and truffle oil

 

Dark chocolate mousse, triple chocolate brownie and white chocolate ice cream

Baked toffee banana cheesecake

Blueberry and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
