Easter weekend menu

As you wander around the local valleys you may well have noticed 3 little vineyards on the slopes, the first of which was planted in 2007. Woodchester valley vineyard, a family owned concern are now producing a range of wines from their hand picked grapes. We are stocking 2.                                                                                                   Bacchus – an aromatic dry white and Regent Rosé – an off dry fruity rosé. Both are available by the glass or bottle and well worth a try.                                                   Cotswold wines from Cotswold vines……what’s not to like?                                             We are fully booked for Saturday evening, tables available for Good Friday at time of writing, as always please call us on 01453 832808 to book.

Sweet potato and Evesham leek soup

        Potted Devon crab, lemon and dill mayonnaise, toasted sour dough      

Roast local venison loin with ripe pear and wild rocket salad

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, pickled carrots and pea shoots

Jersey Royal and English asparagus salad, hen’s egg and Cornish blue dressing

 

Pan fried sea bass fillet on tomato and basil dressing

 Cornish monk fish tail, baby leaf spinach and mild curry cream

Aged local beef fillet, Nailsworth valley wild garlic butter and rich red wine reduction (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, Gloucester sausage, sage and onion gravy

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over old school orange and Cognac sauce

Mixed mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice

 

Baked cheesecake with blueberry compote

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

English apple and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
