Ahh the joys of al fresco dining and April showers. It’s a nice mild day so lets wipe the tables and put out the cushions……”it’s raining”….quick…get the cushions in. “It’s lovely out now, can we sit in the courtyard”….wipe the tables and put the cushions back out……”ooh I feel spots”….move customers to indoor table, rescue damp cushions…. you get the picture.

Smooth carrot and cumin soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Spiced free range chicken skewers with fattoush salad

Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, capers and horseradish

Warm salad of roast Mediterranean vegetables, wild rocket and pine nuts

 

Poached sea trout supreme, baby leaf spinach, mild curry cream

Seared swordfish steak on a bed of spiced lentils

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over Bramley apple sauce and cider gravy

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, woodland mushroom and chive cream sauce

  Aged local beef fillet, fried onions and a rich red wine jus (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Twice baked blue cheese soufflé, curly kale and walnut cream

 

Pecan tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Vanilla milk cake, whipped cream and blueberry compote

Triple chocolate brownie, salty caramel ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
