April is upon us, end of the financial year and no doubt a hefty tax bill to pay! Looking on the bright side (difficult as it is chucking down with rain again at the moment) Spring is here, tubs and shrubs are starting to fill out and we had our first customers sat in the courtyard for brunch last weekend. Orders placed  with fish monger and butcher for Friday’s delivery and menu written for the weekend. A simple plate of Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon with horseradish and capers

Prawn and crayfish tail tian with avocado and sweet chilli jam

Spiced free range chicken breast skewers on fattoush salad

 

Cornish monk fish tail with spinach and mild curry cream sauce

 Pan fried sea bass fillet on dark soy, ginger and spring onion jus

Aged local beef fillet “Chasseur” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, chorizo and herb cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over Bramley apple sauce and cider gravy

Twice baked blue cheese soufflé, curly kale and walnut cream

 

Baked toffee banana cheesecake with salty caramel ice cream

70% dark chocolate mousse, fine butter shortbread

A slice of vanilla milk cake with tropical fruit salsa

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
