Dinner – 14 to 16 March ’17

Well that’s annoying…….we turned away so many tables on Saturday because we were fully booked but had empty tables on Friday night. Cheltenham this week so hopefully we will see a few of the race goers for dinner.


Dinner                                       Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th March 2017

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50


Roasted red pepper soup

Pan fried bream fillet, Mediterranean vegetables and pesto dressing

Warm salad of roast local venison loin, wild rocket and red onion marmalade

A simple starter of finely sliced oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns

Twice baked double Gloucester soufflé on creamed baby leaf spinach (15 minutes)


Cornish monk fish tail, plum tomato sauce and marinated olives

Red gurnard fillet and samphire pan fried in chilli citrus butter

Free range chicken breast with red wine, tarragon and tomato jus

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, forest mushroom and chive cream sauce

  Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Chestnut mushroom and soy bean millefeuille


Dark chocolate and orange torte with tangy orange sorbet

Pecan tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
