Mid week dinner – 7 to 9 March ’17

The potted Devon crab was a best seller over the weekend so we’ll order more in and put it on the menu again this week. Mother’s day lunch is almost fully booked now so call us if you want those last few spaces.

Butternut squash soup

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet with home grown pear chutney

Warm double Gloucester and spring onion tart, celeriac and walnuts

Potted Devon crab, caper mayonnaise and toasted sour dough

Pressed ham hock and parsley terrine with cider apple slaw


Poached halibut supreme, baby leaf spinach and Prosecco cream

Pan fried fillet of loch reared trout with peppers and olives

Free range chicken breast with woodland mushroom and chive cream sauce

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, buttered leeks and grain mustard gravy

  Aged local beef fillet, tarragon butter and rich red wine reduction                              (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew on red, white and wild rice


Baked lemon cheesecake with tangy lemon sorbet

Blueberry and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Milk chocolate and salty caramel mousse

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
