Mid week menu – 7 to 9 February 2017

I read in the papers that shops are rationing salads due to a shortage of supplies from Spain. Following a quieter than anticipated weekend we have 2 icebergs, 2 bags of spinach and a box of wild rocket in the fridge……any offers?

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50


Cornish curly kale soup

Pan fried sea bream fillet on Asian slaw with soy ginger dressing

Warm caramelised onion tart, wild rocket and roasted red pepper puree

A simple starter of Severn and Wye smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns

Warm salad of roast local Roe deer loin, crab apple jelly and watercress


Seared swordfish steak with baby plum tomato and olive dressing

Pan fried sea bass fillet with sweet chilli beurre blanc

Free range chicken breast in tarragon cream sauce

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, buttered leeks and cider gravy

  Aged local beef fillet, garlic field mushroom, red wine reduction (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Roast tomato risotto topped with melting goats cheese, pine nuts and pesto


Spiced apple cake with cinnamon whipped cream

Triple chocolate brownie served warm with white chocolate ice cream

 Baked cheesecake with blueberry compote

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
