Dinner – 24 to 26 January 2017

Well it’s that time of year again when we sit down and write out a jobs to do, replace and repair list for our old buildings and courtyard. Looking back on last years most of them got ticked off and a few more added as we went along as bits of kit broke down or a leak or two appeared!

Watercress soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Warm salad of roast local roe deer loin, wild rocket and walnuts

Severn and Wye salmon prepared two ways with horseradish crème fraiche

Warm blue cheese tart with celeriac and white cabbage slaw

 

Loch reared trout supreme with spinach and mild curry cream

Pan fried sea bass fillet on dark soy, sesame and ginger jus

Roast pheasant breast, Bramley apple sauce and cider gravy

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, woodland mushroom cream sauce

  Aged local beef fillet, fried onions and red wine reduction (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Butternut squash and broad bean bake with a three seed crust

 

Dark chocolate sunken flourless cake, white chocolate ice cream

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

 English apple and almond tart served warm with green apple sorbet

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
