Dinner – weekend 6 & 7 January 2017

Did you get out in the sunshine on bank holiday Monday? We had a day trip to the Welsh coast, lovely walk, stunning beaches and crab sandwich for lunch. Before heading home we bought some “just picked” organic Pembrokeshire purple sprouting broccoli to go with a tomato and basil risotto and the dozen scallops we hadn’t sold on New Years Eve, all enjoyed with a glass or two of chilled wine…………Happy days! Sweet chilli and carrot soup

    Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon with prawns and lemon dill dressing   

Caramelised onion tart served warm with wild rocket and baby tomatoes

Pot caught Devon crab three ways

Baked free range egg, air dried ham, spinach and Parmesan cream


Roast Cornish hake supreme on pea, parsley and Prosecco cream sauce

Pan seared swordfish steak with cherry tomato and basil sauce

Roast Pheasant breast, spiced Bramley apple, rich cider gravy

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, woodland mushroom cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Baharat spiced cauliflower and chick pea stew with red, white and wild rice


Sweet cranberry and almond tart, clotted cream ice cream

Baked cheesecake with blueberry compote

Warm blonde brownie with gingerbread ice cream
