Dinner – 29/11 to December 1st 2016

Well that was a strange weekend……better than expected Friday night given the negative effect Nailsworth Noel usually has on our business followed by a busy from the off Saturday brunch ending with a really poor Saturday evening with three tables cancelling in the hour or two before we opened. Oh well!

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50


Parsnip and apple soup

Warm salad of fried squid with spiced avocado, pea shoots and sweet chilli

Venison flat bread with red onion pickle

Devon crab, prawn and crayfish tail “cocktail”

Warm caramelised onion tart, wild rocket and tomato salad


Roast loin of south coast hake on spiced aubergine and chick pea stew

Pan fried fillet of sea bass with soy, sesame and ginger jus

Roast pheasant breast on a rich, slow braised dark meat ragu

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, woodland mushroom cream sauce

  Aged local beef fillet, garlic buttered spinach and red wine reduction                        (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Roasted red pepper risotto with melting goats cheese, pine nuts and seeds


Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, white chocolate ice cream

Baked cheesecake with blackberry and apple compote

 A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
