Mid week menu – 11 to 13 October 2016

Have you been watching the Great British Menu on the telly? I still don’t see the point of taking a prime cut of meat and putting in a water bath for a couple of hours then colouring it in a sea of butter. If it is as good a joint as you claim just seal it, roast it , rest it and carve it!


Dinner                                 Tuesday 11th to Thursday 13th October 2016

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50


Red lentil soup

Pan seared swordfish loin, Asian slaw and soy dressing

Grilled courgette and feta salad with celery root and minted yoghurt dressing

Chorizo on sweet potato mash, tomato sauce

A simple starter of Severn and Wye smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns


Brixham plaice fillets, baby leaf spinach and Prosecco cream sauce

Pan fried sea bass fillet, roast Mediterranean vegetables, pesto oil

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over braised red cabbage

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, Portobello mushrooms, chive cream sauce

  Aged local beef fillet, tarragon butter and rich red wine reduction                              (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Roast tomato risotto with Cavolo Nero and pine nuts


Home grown pear and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Trio of lemon

Dark chocolate sunken flourless cake with red berry sorbet

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
