Weekend menu – 30 September and 1 October ’16

I had to double check the diary but yes that is correct, Saturday is the first of October.Just ordered mackerel, sea bass and south coast cod loin for delivery in the morning. Tables free for Friday but Saturday is filling up so please book early on 01453 832808.

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet with home grown pear chutney

Little Portobello mushrooms sautéed in garlic and parsley butter on toasted bloomer

Prawn and poached sea trout tian with avocado and sweet chilli dressing

Spiced lamb flat bread, cucumber and mint relish


Roast south coast cod loin with red onion, baby tomatoes, chilli and spinach

Pan fried sea bass fillet on dark soy, sesame and ginger jus

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over Nailsworth valley blackberry sauce

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, Gloucester sausage and cider gravy

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew on red, white and wild rice


Baked toffee banana cheesecake

Orange tart with tangy orange sorbet

Warm triple chocolate brownie, Swiss chocolate chip ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
