Mid week dinner -23 to 25 August 2016

It was a funny old week last week with Tuesday being our busiest day and most unusually we were not full on Saturday night.Bank holiday weekend approaching, lets see what business that brings our way.


Dinner                                       Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th August 2016

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50


English pea and mint soup

A trio of smoked fish – Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon,  pan fried smoked haddock fish cake and smoked mackerel pâté

Wild rocket, fresh peach and Feta cheese salad with pumpkin seed dressing

Sautéed lemon and garlic marinated chicken skewer on Mediterranean vegetable quinoa

Spiced baby squid, new potato and little plum tomato salad


Poached supreme of loch reared trout with spinach and mild curry cream

Pan fried sea bass fillet with soft herb and garlic dressing

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over apple sauce and cider gravy

Cotswold pork escallops with chorizo and roasted red pepper jus

  Aged local beef fillet, sautéed onions and a rich red wine reduction                           (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Mixed mushroom millefeuille, chive cream sauce and truffle oil


Warm triple chocolate brownie with white chocolate ice cream

Baked cheesecake with raspberries

Apple and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
