Weekend dinner menu – 19 & 20 August 2016

Just ordered the fish for delivery in the morning. Lets hope it arrives as planned, the other Friday we got most of our order at 08.30 but for some reason a box of monk fish was put on the wrong van and didn’t arrive till 16.00 after a trip to Wales and back!

English pea and mint soup

Spiced baby squid salad, new potatoes and little plum tomatoes

Sautéed lemon and garlic marinated chicken skewer on Mediterranean vegetable quinoa

A trio of smoked fish – Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, smoked mackerel pâté, and a pan fried smoked haddock fish cake

Wild rocket, fresh peach and Feta cheese salad with pumpkin seed dressing

 

Baked Cornish hake supreme with prawn and parsley butter sauce

Pan fried sea bass fillet, plum tomato and basil dressing

5 spiced Barbary duck breast sliced over sweet sour blueberry jus

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops, mixed mushroom and chive cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet, tarragon and cracked pepper butter, rich red wine reduction    (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Summer squash and broad beans in mild curry cream sauce on red, white and wild rice

 

Dark chocolate and cherry torte, Cotteswold dairy cream

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Apple and almond tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
