Dinner menu 13 to 16 July 2016

Well…we expected a quiet weekend with so many events on and the start of the holidays but had hoped for a slightly busier Saturday than we had…. Hey ho.                           Please note that we will be closed on Tuesday this week but open as usual from Wednesday evening onwards.

Three courses £29.50      Two courses £25


Roast tomato soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Warm fennel and ricotta tart, wild rocket and orange salad

Finely sliced Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, prawns and crayfish tails

Baby gem Caesar salad with spiced free range chicken breast


Ring netted grey mullet fillet (Ellie Jean, Poole harbour) simply pan fried and served with a ripe tomato and parsley dressing

Cornish monk fish tail with spinach and mild curry cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over Bramley apple sauce and cider reduction

Sautéed Cotswold pork escallops with Evesham leeks and sage gravy

Aged local beef fillet, rich red wine and mixed mushroom sauce (£3.50 supplement – sorry)

Chestnut mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice


Pecan tart served warm with salty caramel ice cream

A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Dark chocolate truffle cake, English strawberries and cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
