Mid week menu – 5 to 7 July 2016

After a very quiet Friday night (3-1 to Wales by the way) we enjoyed a busy Saturday brunch followed by a full house for dinner which was a relief.


Dinner                                       Tuesday 5th to Thursday 7th July 2016

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50


Roast tomato soup

Prawn and crayfish tail tian, spiced avocado and sweet chilli jam

Warm ham hock and broad bean tart with carrot and red onion pickle

Twice baked double Gloucester soufflé on creamed spinach (15 minutes please)

A simple plate of Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon with green onions and capers


Cornish monk fish tail in baby plum tomato and basil sauce

Pan fried sea bass fillet, roasted fennel and orange beurre blanc

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over apple sauce and cider reduction

Cotswold pork escallops with buttered leeks and sage jus

Aged local beef fillet with a rich mushroom and red wine sauce (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Mediterranean vegetables, braised lentils and buffalo mozzarella baked under pesto cream


English strawberry tartlet with clotted cream ice cream

Baked cheesecake with tropical fruit compote

Warm triple chocolate brownie, white chocolate ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
